In our last newsletter, dated February, we spoke about the harvest presenting some challenges but we were confident that Paul’s viticultural experience and Bobby’s wizardry in the cellar would translate into yet another successful vintage. The wines are now all safely barrelled down and believe it or not we have even bottled some 2026 Little Flirt Sauvignon Blanc.
The autumnal shades in the Elgin Valley are on full display and the evenings are certainly chilly. I’m most inclined to reach for a mighty fine bottle of the Black Dog Malbec, or any of our red wines for that matter.
A heartly lamb knuckle stew, a roaring fire, laughter shared with those dearest to you and a four-legged friend at my feet is my kind of heaven. Why not stay in one of our three well-equipped, self-catering cottages? They all have internal fire-places and electric blankets on the beds to keep you snug … certainly no shortage of wine either.
You can view our occupancy calendar online via our website www.paulwallacewines.co.za. Either book your cottage on line or you are welcome to whatsapp Nicky on 083-255 1884 to find out more.

The new vintages of the Black Dog Malbec, Highlander Cabernet Franc, Brave Heart Pinot Noir and Reflection Chardonnay as well as the 2026 Little Flirt Sauvignon Blanc, mentioned previously, are now all available for tasting at our tasting room on the farm, located alongside our cottages. So you see … a day trip or sleep-over at Paul Wallace Wines is imperative! Some food for thought … We are also happy to bring our wines to you. Should you wish to host a tasting for your Wine Club or merry band of wine loving friends, please do make contact with us. We can work it into our travel programme. We provide the wine and entertaining stories, you provide the venue, eats and the guests (minimum 12 pax). It’s a great way to entertain and we appreciate your help in introducing our wines to those who may not yet have experienced them.Don’t forget our wines can be ordered domestically through our online shop.
Cheers to you all,Nicky, Paul and Bobby
